It is lovely here in the Little Plum valley.  Spring is in bloom.   Ricky has ‘tested’ his new lawnmower and with the recent rains will be back in the saddle later this week.  When we are not feverishly working on the basement remodel we try to work out side.  As part of our re

The Lily Tree

model project, all of the vegetation along the south side of the building had to be removed.  There has been drainage issues, that cause leaking in the basement.  A variety of plants, some that I could identify and others that I could not…have been removed.  For the lilies and hostas it was an opportunity to divide and transplant.  Transplant…..and transplant more.  The property line between Little Plum and the cemetery has over 50 happy lilies poking their heads up from the ground and surrounding mulch.  For the last lily plant (just under 2 feet in diameter) I decided to plant around an old stump, next to where the out house used to stand.  Hopefully they will like their new home.
