It has been a productive week in Wisconsin at Little Plum Place.  Even though it was a very cold day, the calm on Wednesday sparked the notion to clean out the wood shed behind Little Plum School.  We dug out 2 broken push mowers, a slew of abandoned items, salvaged some usable lumber and cremated the remains of what appeared to be a possum. While the fire was going, we trimmed up the trees on the school lot.  Small improvements. It reminds me of the old adage ‘You got to make hay when the sun shines’.  In our case, you have to clear out, trim trees and burn while there is snow cover on the ground.

Our first lumber delivery was made this week.  Rick and my dad Brian did the majority of the work of erecting the walls to define our bedroom suite and small offices.  I managed to follow behind them and drive the finishing screws into the studs.  Things are starting to take shape.
